Domes Train Show: Golden Age of Steam

Every winter, the Show Dome is transformed into a miniature train show with 600 feet of train tracks looping the exhibit. Board the retro train for a Victorian-era adventure that’s sure to thrill! You won’t need a time machine to return to this Golden Age of Steam. Just lace up your corset, don your top hat and join us on a Show Dome journey through four distinct, miniature vignette landscapes.
The rich, velvety colors of the Victorian steam era are on full display, with bright azaleas, sweet smelling Matthiola, and moody Scabiosa providing the lush carpeting for this exciting Garden-Scale train show.
Milwaukee Lionel Railroad Club’s Toy Train & Collectible Show

Admission: $4 (Kids 12 and under free with paid adult)
Buy, sell and trade new and used toy trains and other collectibles. Use the entrance on the east side of building off West Cleveland Avenue to enter. After the show, visit the club house located at 2721 S. Calhoun Rd. (in back of building). It opens at 10 a.m.
The Dinosaur Play

Presented by First Stage, this theater production takes audiences on a journey back in time, millions and millions of years ago, when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Meet a dinosaur egg tapping out a call for help. It’s up to you to figure out what the egg is saying and how to help it hatch. During your adventure, you will befriend a surly Triceratops, help protect a newly formed dinosaur family, and defeat the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Waukesha Janboree

This 10-day celebration returns for its 40th anniversary year. It features ice sculpting, lumberjack shows, indoor skating, a Frosty 5K, planetarium shows and more. Some activities require registration.
West Bend Winter Warm-Up
Jan. 17-19
View stunning ice sculptures along the streets and Riverwalk, and watch a live ice-sculpture demo at Old Settlers Park on Saturday at 11 a.m. Don’t miss the enchanting Luminary Walk on Saturday evening at Lac Lawrann Conservancy. Families can also enjoy free screenings of Ice Age 2 at The Bend Theater, shopping promotions, and unique festive drinks from local bars and restaurants as part of the Polar Express.
