Urban Candlelight Hike in Three Bridges Park

Celebrate winter at the 8th Annual Urban Candlelight Hike! Stroll through candlelit trails, enjoy campfires, roast marshmallows, sip hot cocoa, and munch on popcorn. This family-friendly event is free, but donations are appreciated to support the Urban Ecology Center’s programs.

2025 STEM Expo MKE

The STEM Expo is a science fair style event with “STEM” (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) booths set up throughout the UWM Student Union. At each booth (or “exploration station”) is a STEM-based activity or demonstration that is designed to interactively engage K-12 kids to incite and fuel their interests for all things STEM.

Kid Boogie Down: Tribute to Taylor Swift

Kid Boogie Down at the Bavarian Bierhaus is a live music/video show by DJ Lukewarm complete with lights, lasers, and bubbles. This one will feature a Taylor Swift theme and free glitter tattoos! It’s a dance party that’s fun for the whole family. Space is limited.

Toy Train & Collectible Show
New Berlin Ale House | 16000 W. Cleveland Ave. | New Berlin

Admission: Adults $4; Kids 12 & under FREE with paid adult

Buy, sell and trade new and used toy trains and other collectibles. Use the entrance on the east side of the building off west Cleveland Avenue. Food will be available for purchase. After the show, be sure to visit the Milwaukee Lionel Railroad Club house at 2721 S. Calhoun Road (in back of building).

The Milwaukee Comic Con is back and has grown even bigger! It will feature more vendors, more artists, more creators, and more special guests with a larger floor space for fans. There will be 200+ tables of geeky goodness, free admission for kids, and everyone gets a free comic at the door!


For Black History Month

Black History Month Events at MPM
Milwaukee Public Museum | 800 W. Wells St. | Milwaukee

Explore the experiences and contributions of Black Americans throughout different periods of U.S. history by visiting Milwaukee Public Museum exhibits, engaging in learning opportunities with MPM Educators and exploring online resources!

  • Saturday Storytime (Feb. 22 and March 1, 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.) – Families with young children (recommended for ages 3-6) are invited to the Early Learning classroom for hands-on activities and stories that celebrate Black history.
  • Saturday Tours (Feb. 22 and March 1, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.) – Take a 50-minute exhibit tour with Museum docents from America’s Black Holocaust Museum highlighting African and African-American history.
  • Traveling Display (through March 6) – View a special traveling display from the Wisconsin Historical Society, titled “Crossing the Line: The Milwaukee Fair Housing Marches of 1967-1968,” in the Ground Floor Garden Galleries. Educators will examine how historians use primary sources to learn about Milwaukee’s Black history.
  • Streets of Old Milwaukee – Learn about the Watsons, a vital Black couple from Milwaukee’s history, as well as a mini-diorama celebrating Ezekiel Gillespie, a Black voting rights leader in Milwaukee.
  • Third Floor – Find a mural depicting prominent people, places, events and symbols from African history in our Africa gallery.
  • Online – Visit the MPM website to learn about the WPA Milwaukee Handicraft Project collection and the histories of Jim Crow and Apartheid.
