Our very official stamp of approval that is the "Add of the Week" goes to Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney (aka, The Black Keys), who dropped their first new song of 2024 with a little help from Dan the Automator and Beck.
“Beautiful People (Stay High)” hits as the first up from their upcoming album, Ohio Players, which is due April 4 — the band’s first studio LP since 2022’s Dropout Boogie. The rockin' new collection of music will also feature appearances from Noel Gallagher and Greg Kurstin, among others.
Though it's taken some time to get it good, the hard work hits on this lead single backed by a soaring choir and an appropriately skwonky sax punctuating the groove. The song feels euphoric and swings like the '60s of my imagination. For a band that’s been blessed with longevity, it’s cool to hear they still have it.
