Brewers Winter Warm-Up reimagines the annual fan event

Milwaukee Brewers

Just like the team’s in-season product, the Milwaukee Brewers’ winter event undergoes tweaks and adjustments every year. Pre-pandemic, it was a gathering in the convention center. Last January, it was a packed-to-the-gills get-together at Dugout 54. This time around is a two-day affair Jan. 13 and 14 dubbed the Winter Warm-Up that brings a bigger dose of actual baseball to the proceedings.

As the team noted in a release, “Scheduling conflicts at both the Wisconsin Center District and State Fairgrounds for 2024 necessitated a move to the new venues and a new format this winter.”

As a result, day one on Jan. 13 will be at the Miller High Life Theatre for autograph sessions and a stage show. Brewers players, management and top prospects will be on hand to sign items, snap photos and take part in a 90-minute program hosted by the team’s broadcasters featuring interviews, game shows and more.

The following day’s activities shift to Ethic Sports Academy in New Berlin for the Brewers Winter Warm-Up Kids Clinic. Burgeoning baseball players age 14 and under will have the opportunity to get tips and instruction from the Brewers Baseball Academy staff and players from the organization. The clinic is for all experience levels and is split into two sessions: 9 to 11 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m.

“We are excited to bring back an off-season event that offers opportunities for our fans to engage with their favorite Brewers players and key members of the organization,” Brewers president of business operations Rick Schlesinger said. “This event will feature many of the favorite activities from the former Brewers On Deck, with the addition of a set of Kids Clinics the next day. By hosting two days of activities, there will be great opportunities for Brewers fans to get their fill of baseball as we ring in the New Year.”

The team’s offering three ticket options for the event, all of which go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday on the Brewers website:

  • Saturday main stage theater show only (noon-1:30 p.m.): $22
  • Saturday main stage theater show + autograph session (10 a.m.-1:30 p.m.): $42
  • Sunday Kids Clinic (for ages 14 and under): $30 per session
