88Nine's 12 Days of Christmas Gift Guide: day three, gifts for music lovers

On the third day of 88Nine's 12 Days of Christmas Gift Guide, we picked out some ideal gifts for the music lover in your life.

A Subscription to Vinyl Me, Please ($99-324)

Vinyl, Me Please is a subscription vinyl service. Every month they pick a record that is super choice and do some elaborate design, (which vinyl lovers die for), print it on fun colors (ditto the first parenthesis), and include original artwork (again). It's a great way to curate a diverse and deep collection for someone who is just getting into music and if the vinyl lover already has the pick of the month, they make for great trade ammo.

RECORD RUNNER ($79.99)

The Record Runner is a record player that is a VW wagon that rides along the grooves of a record. What else could you want? It's so cute. So portable. So necessary. A great conversation piece.

Fancy Record Crates ($225)

If your record lover has a bunch of vinyl, it's likely that they are going to haul that wax around every once-in-a-while. If you are hauling, you want to haul with this absolutely gorgeous crate.

Of course, if you want to haul at a more economic price, there are always old Peaches crates.

Koss Porta Pros ($50)

The greatest headphone of all time. They look super cool. The sound great. They have a LIFETIME guarantee. Anytime anything happens to them, just take them to the Koss World Headquarters here in Milwaukee, and they will give you a new pair. Pay $50 for the last pair of headphones you will ever need to buy.

Illimat ($40)

Illimat is a board game created by The Decemberists. What a weird thing for a band to come up with, but we are down for weird band merch. Perfect if you love The Decemberists, if you love board games, and especially if you, or someone you know loves both.

Father John Misty tarot cards

File this under the "weird band merch" category that we seem to be in. Father John Misty hits on his Misty-est right here by releasing tarot cards. Dude seems to already have a glimpse into the future. What he sees is dark. Find out what you see.

"Nick Cave: Mercy Me" by Reinhard Kleist ($15.00)

A graphic novel that details the sometimes fictional, sometimes factual events in Nick Cave's life and songs.
