Irish Fest shares this year’s dates, music lineup, ticket offer

A digital sign high above an entrance to an outdoor festival area reads "Milwaukee Irish Fest" and is surrounded by various flags waving in the wind.

It’s festival-announcement season in Milwaukee, and — with exquisite timing considering what awaits us tomorrow — Irish Fest stepped to the fore to share a whole bunch of details about the 2023 edition of “the world's largest celebration of Irish/Celtic music and culture.”

Said celebration will take place Aug. 17-20 in its usual location, Henry Maier Festival Park. The 42nd installment will include the return of the genealogy tent, Gaeltacht (or Irish-speaking) area, more than 35 places to get Irish and other foodstuffs, and Jameson whiskey areas, plus currach (small boat) races in the lagoon.

The festival already has 100+ acts lined up across its 16 stages (you can find the list below) and says, “even more acts will be added in the coming months.” In the shorter term, there’s a buy-one-get-one ticket offer happening now through March 19 that organizers say “will be the lowest ticket price offered.” Visit this page for all the details and to pick up your tickets.
