This season, Christopher Gilbert took lead as the choreographer for the Milwaukee Bucks Grand Dancers, a dance team of adults 55 and up who perform at select Milwaukee Bucks halftime shows.
Gilbert is a choreographer, musician, life coach, motivational speaker... oh, and a dancer.
With the Bucks moving into the new Fiserv Forum, they wanted a new, fresh energy for the team.
Under Gilbert's direction, the troupe might consist of older adults, but their routines are anything but old-fashioned.
Gilbert sees this role as a way to spread positivity.
"I reside and hail from the North side, where I heard a lot, 'You're not supposed to make it past 18.' If that ain't motivation to you, then I don't know what is."
He's done a lot more than make it past 18. Together, him and his group of dancers are making the most of everything they have.
