As construction crews were doing routine work at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center in 2015, they accidentally uncovered a small metal box.
It didn't have any special markings or stand out in any way, so they threw it on the scrap heap, not thinking much more of it.
Little did they know it was actually a time capsule, filled with perfectly preserved newspapers, medical books, coins and documents, buried for more than 50 years.
