Looking for things to do in Milwaukee? Here's 100.

Local author Jenna Kashou has a new book, and it just might settle your weekend indecisiveness.

The book "100 Things To Do In Milwaukee Before You Die, 2nd Edition" is out now, and it's full of hand-picked activities, places and hidden gems.

"It was something I always wanted to do, to publish a book," Kashou says. "I just jumped on it."

My first question is -- as you might be wondering, too -- how do you even start? You could probably pick 1,000 things to do in Milwaukee and still leave plenty on the table. So, how do you pare it down to just 100?

"A lot of it was experiential. It was going out and seeing, 'is this is a place that has staying power? Is this something that has a truly Milwaukee vibe to it?'

"There was a lot of crowdsourcing. A lot of putting things on the list, taking things off the list, trying it for myself. And then from there, I decided to just run with the 100 that I had. Because I probably could have deliberated forever," she says.

The book is broken down into five main sections: food and drink, music and entertainment, sports and recreation, culture and history, and shopping and fashion.

And if you need a little more granular guidance, there's help.

"If you're really at a loss for what to do, there's some suggested itineraries in the back. And then events by season," she says.

Throughout the summer, Kashou will be hosting a variety of events and book signings. You can keep up with her by visiting her Facebook page.
