88Nine's 'Make A Difference' Organization Sweet Water Organics To Be Featured On NBC Nightly News Tonight

NBC recently kicked off their 4th annual 'Green Week'. 'Green Week' runs from November 14 through November 21.  NBC will focus on 'Green' awareness throughout their programming and across all their channels. 88Nine RadioMilwaukee's 'Make A Difference' organization Sweet Water Organics will be featured tonight during the NBC Nightly News.

From Sweet Water's blog:

In their upcoming series of “Green” stories, NBC Nightly News will feature Milwaukee’s Sweet Water Organics airing Monday, November 15th during their 5:30pm broadcast. Anne Thompson, NBC’s Environmental reporter, will tell the story of Sweet Water with the co-founders, Josh Fraundorf and James Godsil, and discuss the educational outreach programs of the Sweet Water Foundation with Emmanuel Pratt, the foundation’s Executive Director. Also featured will be La Merenda, Milwaukee tapas destination restaurant and one of Sweet Water’s partners, preparing a fresh delivery of Sweet Water tilapia for an evening’s dinner special.

In addition to Sweet Water Organics and La Merenda, Project Grow, a non-profit organization that has partnered with Sweet Water to help Haiti be sustainable through aquaponics, will also be featured in the segment.

There will be a screening party tonight (11/15/2010) at Tonic Tavern in Bayview starting at 5pm.  The segment is actually scheduled to appear on NBC at 5:45pm.
