A new album from the legendary Detroit guitarist Dennis Coffey will be released on the label Strut records. Dennis Coffey has played with the who's who of funk and soul music inlcudling Funkadelic, Temptations, The Isley Brothers, The Surpemes and countles others. One of his best known tracks is 1971's "Scorpio", which has been sampled by artists such as Mos Def, House of Pain, Rage Against The Machine, Fugess and others.
Coffey is back with a forthcoming self-titled album on Strut records which features hosts of artist such as Paolo Nutini, Mayer Hawthorne and Milwaukee's own Kings Go Forth. You can listen and download the song "Miss Millie" featuring Kings Go Forth for free via Coffey's website.
