Liam Gallagher's new band Beady Eye recently released their album "Different Gear, Still Speeding" last month. If you are not familiar with the band, it is mostly members from Oasis with the exception of Liam's brother Noel.
Recently, the band performed a cover of the Beatles "Across The Universe" for a Japanese Disaster Benefit at the Brixton Academy, London. Before the benefit, Beady Eye went into the studio to record the song from the Beatles' album "Let It Be." Starting today, the band has made the track available for sale via their website. All the procedes of the sales of this song will go to the British Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal. Listen to the track below.
In other ironic news, Liam Gallagher, in an interview, stated that he is still bigger than the Beatles. Here is his exact words:
