The comparison is a lofty one, but one listen to the beats of UK-based Starslinger, and you'll hear a similarity to J Dilla that's uncanny. Intensely sample based, Starslinger is adept at making beats that are at once soulful and danceable with a crunchiness that still rolls with a groove. I'm lovin' it, and you should too. A recurrent presence on Tarik Moody's Rhythm Lab, I'm just catching up here. What's it sound like though?
