This week on the 2 o'clock Break, we are looking at how Beck has crafted a career out of creative sampling. When you listen to Beck's music, you hear a large variety of influence. Rock, Funk, Hip Hop, Bluegrass, and Techno all come into play on Beck tracks. He also samples a large variety of musical styles. From Jazz loops to Funk breaks, he's got it all.
On 1996's ODELAY, Beck got sample crazy. One of my favorite tracks on ODELAY is "Sissyneck".
