Carrie Ann Seymour is full of energy...ART energy! And she will stalk you if you are an artist. She says so herself. She is the force behind Artbook Milwaukee, a tiny, glossy, hand-held little gem of art itself, which provides information on and support for local (and national) artists. The book iself is 5" x 5", just small enough to tuck in your pocket and take a little art with you everywhere you go.
I met with Carrie Ann and her colleague, designer James Kloiber, the day of their official opening of Artbook: The Office, located at 1761 N. Warren Avenue, right off Milwaukee's hip Brady Street area.
We talked about making art, about supporting local, home-grown artists, and shared chai, champagne, and really good dark chocolate.
