Jake Brandt, Assistant Manager of Habitat for Humanity Restore has some pretty cool ideas..and one of them was to create an event where you, yes YOU, can create art merely by using recycled goodies from Habitat for Humanity's Restore. Habitat, as you know, builds affordable homes for low-income families, but it also provides home products at a deeply discounted price. All proceeds help Habitat for Humanity's mission of eco-friendly, affordable housing.
I sat down with Jake, to talk about the upcoming ReStore 3rd Annual Recycled Art Contest, and I then received a behind-the-scenes tour of the Restore, where they have everything from toilets to traffic signs
