What Makes Milwaukee? Music..symphonic music....symphonic music created by youth as part of the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra. MYSO has been around since 1956, and brings ensemble music to a diverse Milwaukee-area youth population. I met with various people who are dedicated to ensemble and symphonic music, including Senior Symphony Director Margery Deutsch, as well as MYSO Executive Director Fran Richman, Program Director Justin Smith, and Communications Director Michelle Hoffman. I also sat down to talk music, performance, and life with youth musicians Sabrina Raber, Isaac Young, and Carlos Orozco.
