Nenah Cherry Returns With A New Project, Watch Her Cover Madvillain & MF Doom's "Accordian"

Do you remember that song "Buffalo Stance" by Neneh Cherry?  It was one of my favorite songs from the late 80's and it was featured on her debut album Raw Like Sushi.  It has been sometime since we heard from the multi-talented artist.  Apparently, she is back with a new project with a Jazz flavor.  The name of her project is called Neneh Cherry & The Thing, and they have a forthcoming album called The Cherry Thing.  The Thing is a Jazz group based in Sweden. The album The Cherry Thing will be full of unique covers of songs by  The Stooges, MF Doom, Ornette Coleman, and Don Cherry(Neneh Cherry's father)), and will be released on June 19.  (via The Fader)

A few weeks ago, Neneh & The Thing dropped a cover of Suicide's "Dream Baby Dream," which simply goregous. Take a listen below:

The track definitely has a Morphine vibe to it. Today she dropped another cover this time she is covering Madvillains & MF Doom's "Accordion.  Check out the video below:

Here is the tracklisting for The Cherry Thing
