This week on the Seven O'Clock Sample we are celebrating the music of Daft Punk. Their new album Random Access Memories hit stores on Tuesday and we are going back through some of their past records to find great samples. The track "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" won a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording in 2009, but the song was first featured on Daft Punk's 2001 album Discovery.
Without a doubt this is one of the duo's biggest hits. It was famously samlpled by Kanye back in 2007 for his track "Stronger", but the original sample source comes from Edwin Birdsong's 1979 track "Cola Bottle Baby".
