Tommy Borrows A Little Samba Groove From Cal and Eddie

Our exploration of the sounds of Samba this week on the Seven O'Clock Sample takes us to an album created by Eddie Palmieri and Cal Tjader called Bamboleate. This collaboration was released on Tico records in 1967, and featured a cool version of the song "Samba Du Sueno".

This percussion groove was borrowed by Tommy Gurrero on his 2011 album LIFEBOATS AND FOLLIES.  The Song "Que S'est-il Passe" has the same persucussion at the begining of the song.
