Sound Travels this weekend was a little different than most of the mixtape I tend to make for the station. Not only was it very old-timey, but it was from America. What kind of vintage sound would fit the global sound I try to deliver? The rhumba blues that old school rhythm & blues was enamored with way back in the 50's of course. And though that might not have been your first guess, I did cull some of my favorites of that era, when the "Cuban sound" was all the rage. An hour long mix of rhumba blues and gringo mambo.
