It's 1956, and the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein has gathered for its annual quiche breakfast when suddenly the bomb drops. As nuclear apocalypse rages outside, the Sisters realize they may be the last people left on Earth… which raises some very pressing questions about the future of the human race. 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche - the laugh-out-loud cult hit that stormed Chicago and off-Broadway - is now detonating in Milwaukee. It's immersive, too: every guest is sworn into the Society on arrival, and with roughly 30% improvised, no two apocalypses are alike. Presented by The Constructivists, produced by Cap and Glasses Studios, at Pink's Accessible Theater House this October. Come for the quiche. Stay for the end of the world.
Performances October 1–24, 2026 — evenings 8:00 PM, Sunday matinees 4:00 PM. Full schedule and tickets ($20) at 5leqmke.com.
It’s 1956. The five officers of the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein have gathered for their annual quiche breakfast — as they say, “no men, no meat, all manners.” Then the Soviets actually drop the bomb, the doors seal shut, and these “devoted widows” are trapped in the basement together with a great deal of egg and a few secrets that may not survive the apocalypse. You’re not just watching — you’re a card-carrying member of the Society! And roughly a third of every performance is improvised, so no two breakfasts are ever quite the same.

For over 10 years, we've been supporting local farmers, food producers and artisans, & creating a more sustainable community. Every week, the market is home to about 45 farmers and food producers, selling a first-class mix of produce, plants, cut flowers, bread and baked goods, award-winning cheese, coffee, waffles, popsicles, fish, meat and poultry, and prepared breakfast and dinner items. The first Saturday of each month, we also add a Makers Market, featuring a juried selection of local artisans selling handmade arts and crafts.
