The Best Way to Start Your Saturday.The Tosa Farmers Market is a local not-for-profit organization that carefully curates the best, freshest foods in the region, but it’s more than that. It’s a community hub for foodies, cyclists, coffee-lovers, music fans, yogis, kids — and all their neighbors.
(For adults & teens) Ever wanted to try out bird watching but unsure where to start? Whether you’ve never birded before, are looking to improve your skills, or feel like you need a refresher, all are welcome to come learn the basics of birding. Everyone can be a birder!Participants will learn how to use binoculars, keep track of their observations, how to identify common WI birds, and use a field guide. Binoculars and field guides will be available to try out and borrow during the workshop. This class will start inside with a classroom portion and then move outdoors for some late morning birding.
Celebrate 60 years of the Lakefront Festival of Art! A summertime tradition, the three-day event brings together established and emerging artists with festivalgoers of all ages at the Milwaukee Art Museum’s lakeside campus.
With 30 more artist booths this year, there’s even more to explore and enjoy. Discover and purchase one-of-a-kind art from 145 jury-selected artists from across the country and Wisconsin; enjoy live performances by local acts; dine on delicious food; relax in the wine and beer gardens; and try your hand at fun art projects.
Festival admission includes access to the Museum—stop in to explore the galleries and join a drop-in tour.
Metro Market State Street will be hosting an artist showcase on Saturday, June 14th from 11A until 2P. Join us for an afternoon clebrating Milwaukee's local artists, creativity and community. The Artist Showcase will feature a curated selection of artwork in a welcoming, inspiring atomosphere.
Come celebrate World Wide Knit in Public Day at the Cudahy Family Library! We will meet on the north side of the library building, in the Ladish Foundation Plaza. Bring your lawn chair (or use ours), a project or two, sunscreen, and a cool beverage. If you're not a knitter, bring some supplies -- knitting needles and yarn -- and ask a knitter to teach you something. Or bring any craft you'd like to work on! If the weather doesn't cooperate, we will knit inside the library.
