Jenny Lewis and Ben Gibbard, two-thirds of the Postal Service, electrified the crowd at the Armory in Minneapolis.

About two months ago, I shared my experience driving five hours to Minneapolis to see two of my favorite bands ever: The Postal Service and Death Cab For Cutie. In the final sentence of that review, I said: "And it wouldn't matter the place or distance from home — I would do it again."

Well, as it turns out, the merged 20th anniversary tour of The Postal Service's Give Up and Death Cab's Transatlanticism announced an extension into 2024, including a stop at Milwaukee's Miller High Life Theatre on May 6. That's about a half mile from my house, making my journey slightly easier for the next go-around.

I'll let you read my full review if you're on the fence about grabbing tickets, but suffice to say the show will be worth the price of admission. As an added bonus, Wisconsin's own Slow Pulp, who played a Studio Milwaukee Session back in October, will open.

Tickets will go on sale at the Pabst/Riverside box offices and online at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, though various presales begin Dec. 6. For more info, visit the show's webpage.
