The first three days of Coachella’s 2023 edition didn’t disappoint — for the most part.
My favorite moments were Remi Wolf showing off some powerhouse vocals Saturday evening, and Boygenius hopping on stage Friday for MUNA’s “Silk Chiffon” before returning the following night to deliver a confident, joyful set (Julien Baker is an absolute rockstar).
Beyond that, you had Latin artists Bad Bunny and Rosalía both ripping up their late-night slots, blink-182 joining the lineup at the last minute, Blackpink’s big-budget performance and Frank Ocean’s “show must go on” set while dealing with what turned out to be a fractured leg.
If you missed any of that, we get to do it all again this weekend — literally. Every artist except for Ocean is back for another swing, giving you another chance or a first look to see what so far has been a pretty satisfying lineup.
We should note that despite the festival’s promise to stream every performance on YouTube, Ocean and Björk were very last-minute scratches last weekend. So let’s cross our fingers and hope everything is available on Coachella’s YouTube page.
