Mick Jagger had a birthday yesterday and Justin decided not to do a Shadow for Mick, so I get to. Thanks Justin. Circa 1973, Bryan Ferry was living large, Mr. Suave was dating Jerry Hall, was still in Roxy Music and releasing his solo debut. Among the songs he covered was Mr. Jagger's "Sympathy for the Devil". I don't know if Mick disapproved but after meeting Ms. Hall in 1976, Mick 'stole' her from Bryan and would end up a couple for quite a while. So the Shadow features one Brit hearthrob covering another and tangentially the woman they had in common.
