Scam Likely take new album to the Back Room stage this January

Nine months ago, Scam Likely didn’t exist. A little more than two months from now, they’ll have a new album and a gig at the Back Room @ Colectivo on Jan. 21 to celebrate said album’s release. That’s efficiency.

OK, it’s not just efficiency. Talent helps and chemistry among the band members and a solid first single. The gothic punk rock quartet from Milwaukee seem to have all that going on. They let loose “Watch Your Step” a couple weeks ago (you can listen to it below), and the new album it’s a part of — Getting Worse — is set for release Jan. 20.

The following night, they’ll take the stage at the Back Room and play the LP in its entirety, with Scarlet Demore and Diet Lite opening the show. Based on an admittedly “sappy moment” from a recent Instagram post, the band is both appreciative and stoked:

“Thank you for showing up, streaming the two little songs we have available, supporting us financially with merch and tickets purchases, and showering us with the ‘you can do its’ and ‘keep goin!!’ Without you, we would be four bozos with a dream.”

You can add your own encouragement — both vocal and financial — when tickets go on sale later this week. There’s an artist presale at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, and then general tickets are available at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11. Get all the info right here.
