Pitchfork story names Milwaukee's WebsterX as an artist to watch in 2017

WebsterX Pitchfork

Pitchfork just published a story titled, "Risings of the Past Predict Risings of the Future."  In the story, Pitchfork asked various artists like Charli XCX, Courtney Barnett, and others to pick out new artists to watch in 2017.

One of those artists, Chicago's Kweku Collins chose Milwaukee's own WebsterX.  Here is what Collins had to say:

More people should be listening to WebsterX. The way he raps is a medley of the last two decades in hip-hop. His music and artistic character are both very multidimensional, and his choice of production is eclectic and unique.

Kweku Collins recently shot the video for his song"Stupid Rose" in Milwaukee, which was directed by local favorite Cody LaPlant. Pitchfork wrote a feature about Collins last April.

You can catch WebsterX this Friday in Madison at the Majestic.  Take a listen to WebsterX's latest tune "Blue Streak" below.
