Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi are making a habit out of this BMO Pavilion thing. A little more than a year after bringing their 12-piece Tedeschi Trucks Band to the stage on Milwaukee’s lakefront, they’ll be back again Aug. 9 with opener Margo Price.

The husband-wife combo of Trucks (guitar) and Tedeschi (guitar/vocals) were here last July and used every inch of the performance space with a brass trio, backup vocalists, additional guitarists and a double helping of drummers. The upcoming show will feature an equally robust lineup that just a few months ago hosted “The Garden Parties” — a pair of gigs at Boston’s TD Garden and a sold-out Madison Square Garden in New York.

After touring together as technically separate musical entities in 2007, Tedeschi and Trucks officially formed the band in 2010 and released their Grammy-winning first album, Revelator, in June of 2011. They’ve added four more studio LPs — most recently 2022’s I Am the Moon — and this past May were named Band of the Year at the 2023 Blues Music Awards.

Price has fared pretty well herself in the Americana space, breaking out in 2016 with debut album Midwest Farmer’s Daughter and earning a Best New Artist nomination at the 2019 Grammy Awards. Her fourth studio LP, Strays, came out in January 2023 and was a creative push forward for Price, who reportedly had a little pharmacological assistance as she and her husband/collaborator Jeremy Ivey wrote an album that Pitchfork’s Shaad D’Souza called “warm and permeable.”

Tickets for the Aug. 9 show will first be available at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, via a presale for the Tedeschi Trucks Band’s Swamp Family (more info on the fan club here). A few more presales follow, as well as a general sale that starts at 10 a.m. Friday. You can find details on all of that at Ticketmaster.
