At this point, T-Pain knows a thing or two about the Badger State. His “Wiscansin Fest” has become an annual tradition and is already set for its third iteration June 8. Just shy of three months later, he’ll be back in Milwaukee to show Pitbull around town and serve as Mr. Worldwide’s opening act for an Aug. 31 show at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater.
The trip across North America is being billed as the “Party After Dark Tour” and continues Pitbull’s well-earned reputation for basically never stopping. Six weeks ago, he wrapped up “The Trilogy Tour” with Enrique Iglesias and Ricky Martin, and four months from today he’ll kick off his next sojourn with a couple shows in Virginia before swinging through Milwaukee on the last day of August.
The man born Armando Christian Pérez has become one of those artists whose live shows are as anticipated — maybe more so — than his recorded work. Last October, he released his 12th studio album, Trackhouse, which featured a guest spot from T-Pain (among others). Prior to that, he dropped Libertad 548 in September of 2019, and it went on to become his fourth platinum-selling record.
There’s a wave of presales for the Aug. 31 show, information for which you can find at Ticketmaster. After that, tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. this Friday, April 26, online and at the Amp box office located near the south gate of the Summerfest grounds.
