In The Mix with DJ Kenny Perez prides itself on bringing to the forefront some of Milwaukee’s most talented DJs and producers as guests on the show.

2020 has been a year to forget, yes, but it's also been a time of reflection and creativity. One thing that is undeniable during this moment in history is the art of expression through music. Whether it's Avenue Beat's "Lowkey Fk 2020" or Beyonce's "Black Parade," music is playing an integral part in getting us through the Summer days and nights. For my show, "In The Mix," we've loudly spread our wings not only to continue to have new Milwaukee DJs hit our airwaves but to make room for the major talent across the globe.
In previous months we've had fine mixes from Ninja Tune's Jayda G, who is celebrating the success of an amazing EP, "Both of Us/Are You Down." Salt Cathedral, whom I've had the luxury of meeting and interviewing at the Los Dells Festival in the Summer of 2019. They've finally dropped their debut album, "Carisma." And who can forget the legendary Jorge Jaramillo of the 2002 Billboard-charting duo Who Da Funk with a comeback mix that I will cherish for years to come.
We continued this musical journey on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2020, with the coolest DJ/producer/label owner in the game, Claude VonStroke of Dirtybird records. Claude and the Dirtybird crew are no strangers to the city of Milwaukee. They have played countless venues across Wisconsin and have rocked many crowds. I first got to experience Claude get down when he opened up for Disclosure in Madison. That's still one of my favorite experiences at a music venue to date, besides my opening up for Diplo on the Summerfest grounds of course. It may or may not be a coincidence that both artists Claude and Disclosure released new projects on the same day, but was honored to have him as a guest. Below is the set from the man himself, along with my intro set and several others that have been my guests this past month. Enjoy and please share!

Fun and quirky, totally unique, it captures the weird out there dance floor mayhem that has underpinned the Dirtybird sound since day one. If "Raggadagga" is the beast, then “How I Make You Feel” is the beauty -- a warm and intimate deep house track filled with layers and emotions.
