Every week, Kristopher Pollard from Milwaukee Film and Radio Milwaukee’s Dori Zori talk about movies — because that’s what you do when you’re Cinebuds.

This week on Cinebuds, we discuss the centerpiece of the "Brendanaissance" (copyright pending) that is — THE WHALE.

The new film by director Darren Aronofsky stars Brendan Fraser (of the aforementioned "Brendanaissance" [copyright still pending]), Hong Chau, Sadie Sink and Samantha Morton. Fraser plays a man who has grown dangerously obese after suffering a mountain of loss and is still trying to make a connection to his estranged daughter before it's too late.

This film is a major player in this year's awards season. It’s also — if I haven't mentioned this yet — a major component in the "Brendanaissance" (copyright just denied apparently).

You can still join the movement by joining us on Instagram (@cinebudspodcast). And be sure to like, share and subscribe to Cinebuds anywhere you listen to podcasts!
