Every week, Kristopher Pollard from Milwaukee Film and Radio Milwaukee’s Dori Zori talk about movies — because that’s what you do when you’re Cinebuds.

On this week’s episode, we reach new heights — Wuthering Heights!!! — as we talk about the new biopic Emily. Actually, it’s a fictionalization inspired by true events, so is it still a biopic? Who knows???

What we do know is that this movie is about Emily Brontë, the author of the aforementioned Wuthering Heights. It explores her relationship with sister and Jane Eyre author Charlotte, as well as her rebellious and misfit-y spirit, all through the gorgeous lens of director France O’Connor.

The Cinebuds talk about striking a balance between fact and fiction, how important that distinction is and whether they enjoyed the darn thing. There’s also a brief discussion about Wuthering Heights since one of the ’Buds hasn’t read it. Maybe Kristopher.
