Every week, Kristopher Pollard from Milwaukee Film and Radio Milwaukee’s Dori Zori talk about movies — because that’s what you do when you’re Cinebuds.

This week, we talk about director Kelly Reichardt's new film, Showing Up, starring the impressive Michelle Williams as a dowdy artist working at an art school in Oregon while ALSO working on her upcoming gallery show. The relatively slower paced film amps up as the chaos of her family and coworkers begins to affect her more and more directly. And there's a cute bird in it, so ... bonus!

Reichardt is an indie icon and has become a real tentpole for "authentic artists" in film culture, leading a growing number of actors to seek her out. It's been interesting to follow her trajectory, which we’ll talk about in the podcast — plus much more! Like what else we've been watching!
