Every week, Kristopher Pollard from Milwaukee Film and Radio Milwaukee’s Dori Zori talk about movies — because that’s what you do when you’re Cinebuds.

Our two very definitely not old hosts welcome another very definitely not old guest and first-time Cinebuds visitor: Molly Snyder from OnMilwaukee!!!

In one of the rare instances when social media improves our lives, Molly posted some thoughts about the newest gem in Aubrey Plaza's acting crown, My Old Ass, and left us no choice but to invite her on the pod. After a quick check regarding which saucy words you’re allowed to say in this medium, our young-at-heart trio dive into this time-trippy and other-trippy film.

In My Old Ass, an 18th-birthday mushroom trip brings Elliott (Maisy Stella) face-to-face with her wisecracking 39-year-old self (Plaza). When the older Elliott starts handing out warnings about what her younger self should and shouldn't do, she realizes she has to rethink everything about family, love and what's becoming a transformative summer.

While it may be mild hyperbole to call this a transformative episode, it’s always pretty cool when a Cinebuds rookie joins the fray, especially when they’re responsible for bringing our attention to a weird and wild movie like this one. Hear what Dori, Kpolly and Molly think about My Old Ass, several brief asides on hallucinogens, and whether they learned a thing or two along the way.
