Milwaukee Downtown announces two lunchtime concert series

Milwaukee Downtown BID #21

As part of its “Summer in the City” campaign, Milwaukee Downtown BID #21 will bring live music to a couple downtown locations twice a week throughout June and August.

Both concert series seem geared toward anyone out and about in the area during a typical lunch hour, as they take place between noon and 1 p.m. weekly. Tunes@Noon presented by PNC debuts first on Thursday, June 1, in the courtyard at 411 East Wisconsin Center.

Heart(beats) of the City powered by MGIC starts the following Wednesday, June 7, at Red Arrow Park and will also feature local food trucks. You can find the full schedules below so you can start making your outdoor lunch plans.

Speaking of Red Arrow Park, the group also announced Summer Spinz, a community roller-skating party held every third Friday of the month from 5 to 9 p.m. Each installment will include free lessons during the first hour, a family hour from 6 to 7 p.m., DJ sets and food trucks.

The first one of the summer goes down Friday, June 16, with a Pride Night theme and local turntable-ist extraordinaire DJ Shawna providing the playlist from 7 to 9 p.m. The other two Summer Spinz are scheduled for July 21 and Aug. 18, with more details still to come.
