Milwaukee Milkmen to host American Association All-Star Game

Milwaukee Milkmen

The last time Milwaukee hosted an all-star game, it went … not great maybe?

But we’re nothing if not resilient around here, so we’re going to give it another go this July 18, when the Milwaukee Milkmen host the American Association All-Star Game at Franklin Field.

The local independent baseball team will actually host two days of programming starting July 17, with plenty of events to fill the Ballpark Commons campus. Beyond the forever-linked game and home-run derby, the schedule includes:

  • A beer festival with craft beer and soda sampling from more than 15 breweries
  • A par-3 golf tournament at Luxe Golf Bays
  • Autograph and photo opportunities with special guests
  • Live music and kids activities
  • Specials at the various vendors around Ballpark Commons

“Hosting the American Association All-Star Game is a huge honor -- we’re grateful to the owners and our commissioner for this great opportunity,” Milwaukee Milkmen owner Mike Zimmerman said. "Our fans will welcome the best players in our league, showcasing their talents in the All-Star Game, Home Run Derby — even a little golf. The entire Milwaukee Milkmen organization is excited about this big event, as it’s an opportunity to showcase the entire Ballpark Commons development and the great city of Franklin.”

The game itself takes place at 6:35 p.m. July 18. Groups of 10 or more can get tickets ahead of the general public by filling out the online form on the Milwaukee Milkmen website.
