Milwaukee Magazine's 10 Best New Restaurants

The cover story for the July issue of Milwaukee Magazine is about the 10 best new restaurants.  Ann & I highlighted two of the 10 restaurants including I.D inside the Delafield Hotel, and Bass Bay Brewhouse in Muskego. If you want to find out what new restaurants made the top 10, you can pick up the latest edition of Milwaukee Magazine on June 27.

Eaux Claires Music Festival Food Line-up

A few days ago, the Justin Vernon curated Eaux Claires Music Festival announced the food and drink line-up. At this year's festival, there will be over 30 local and regional vendors including Milwaukee's own Pete's Pops. Other vendors that you can find at this year's festival will include Clear Water BBQ, an Eau Claire smokehouse serving locally sourced meats, Dumpling Darling, an Iowa City Korean-inspired restaurant, and The Marigold, an Eau Claire mobile café. Daryl’s Dog House, Retro Burger/KC Diner, and Shadrach’s Fiery Furnace Traveling Pizza Company, and more.

Ardent's Red Light Ramen to open a dedicated Ramen Shop

Announced prematurely this week, Ardent's Justin Carlisle will be opening a dedicated version of Red Light Ramen later this summer. The shop will be located right next to Ardent and will serve three types of ramen - Tonkostu ramen which he currently serves Friday and Saturday nights, a mushroom miso ramen, and a chilled smoked trout ramen inspired by Keizo Shimamoto of Go Ramen, who invented the ramen burger. The shop will also serve a variety of small plates.

Suburban Bourbon Supper Club Event

On June 25, The Suburban Bourbon will host supper-club dinner called "A Rat Pack Supper Club Night" The event will include a performance from an 18-piece bug band.  For $40 a person, you can get soup or salad and your choice of prime rib, seafood-stuffed sole, fantail shrimp, a full rack of ribs or chicken Marsala. Cocktail hour begins at 5:00pm and Dinner starts at 6:00pm.  You can make reservations by calling 262-682-4406.
