With their dark but sultry electronic sounds, The xx has to be one of the biggest bands of 2010. They also had one of the best remixes of 2010 when they remixed Florence & The Machines' "You Got The Love". The person behind the sound of the group is producer Jamie Smith aka Jamie xx. In a recent radio interview on XFM in the UK, Jamie premiered a track called "Far Nearer" from his forthcoming solo release on Number records. Jamie decided to go a little organic by utilizing the steel pan throughout the soulful, slight upbeat tune. Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think in the comment box below.
