There are few groups that I can listen to all the time, but one that I can enjoy every day and night, is Parliament.
George Clinton, the great grand daddy of funk, sets me in the right mood ten times out of ten. His work has been sampled over the years by several Hip Hop acts. One of my favorite samples comes from "The Clones Of Dr. Funkenstien" album.
This song has a great drum break, funky groove and awesome vocal samples. What's not to love!
My personal favorite is NICE and SMOOTH "Funky For You"
A few year's back Royksopp samples this track for "Happy Up Here"
