This week we are celebrating the music of the late, great Jimmy Castor. The Jimmy Castor Bunch released a number of funk classics on Atlantic throughout the 1970s. Many of these albums may have gone by the way side, had it not been for the great samples used later by Hip Hop and Dance acts.
One of my favorite Jimmy Castor tunes is "The Return Of Leroy".
This track has been used by several Hip Hop groups over the years...
But most famously, on the track "Hold It Now Hit It", by the Beastie Boys
