This week's theme on the Seven O'Clock Sample, focuses on rock bands of the 90s, who utilize samples. In 1992, Faith No More released their album Angel Dust. One of the songs on this record used two other records. The track "Midlife Crisis" sampled both Simon and Garfunkle and the Beastie Boys.
If you listen to the drums at the very beginning, you will hear the percussion track from Simon and Garfunkel's "Cecilia".
Now fast forward the Faith No More track to 2:20, and you will hear a sample from the Beastie Boys' "Car Thief".
