We have been listening to the music of Royksopp all this week on the Seven O'Clock Sample. Since their 1998 debut, the duo has gained critical acclaim and popular success around the world. To date, Röyksopp has been nominated for one Grammy Award, won seven Spellemannprisen awards, performed worldwide tours, and produced albums which have topped the charts in several countries, including four consecutive number-one albums in their native Norway. In 2010 they won two Spellemannprisen Awards for Best Composer for "Junior" and Best Electronic Album for "Junior". Today we explored the song "Vision One" from the album Junior.
This track's main synth melody was borrowed from one of my favorite Steive Wonder tunes, "Too High".
