Summerfest has lost another headliner amid Covid-19 concerns

Another Summerfest headliner has canceled its tour as the concert industry continues to navigate the uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic.

Modern English, who had been set to headline Summerfest's Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard on Friday, Sept. 3, announced that they are postponing their U.S. tour, writing "the safety of the band, the crews, and most of all the fans has to be our priority."

The news follows a similar statement from The Pixies, who earlier this week canceled their tour and a planned Sept. 18 stop at Summerfest.

There's no word on whether replacement headliners will be announced.
