Mallorey Wallace
88Nine On-Air TalentHometown:
I was born in SoCal but consider myself to be a southeastern Wisconsin native.
Hobbies:
I enjoy playing guitar, singing and writing the occasional song in my free time. I also dabble in fiber arts and love a good antique store!
Favorite artists:
Bon Iver takes the cake for my all-time favorite. I admittedly have a soft spot for local artists, and who could resist those dreamy, hooty vocals anyways? Other than Bon Iver, I enjoy old folk — mostly Simon and Garfunkel, Joni Mitchell, Karen Dalton and the like. While I am a folk lover at heart, I also enjoy soul and neo-soul from artists like Hiatus Kaiyote and Erykah Badu. It’s a bit of a mix!
Favorite MKE restaurant:
I could never pick just one! I love fish tacos from El Tsunami, ramen from Hungry Sumo, brunch at Engine Company No. 3 or literally anything from Honeypie if I’m feeling a little fancy.
Comfort drink:
Any sour beer!
