Since 2013, Elsa y Elmar has been a key ingredient for Latin Alternative music, consistently blending diverse influences to craft her unique sound. Originally from Colombia, Elsa Carvajal (the voice behind Elsa y Elmar) combines introspective lyricism with an eclectic mix of pop, folk and electronic elements. The release of her album ya no somos los mismos in 2022 marked a pivotal year, showcasing a dynamic evolution in both her sound and aesthetic.
Her new album, PALACIO, takes listeners on a journey through some of her most experimental and heartfelt work to date. Among the standout tracks is “Drogada de Emociones,” an upbeat, infectious piece of pop that captures the rush of love — or perhaps lust — from Elsa’s perspective. It’s a song that’s both playful and raw, showcasing her ability to convey complex themes with a catchy vibe.
