With kids heading back to class soon, Milwaukee Recreation is gearing up for its annual run/walk through Washington Park.

The popular event is back and even bigger, with the return of familiar favorites and a couple new additions to the weeklong celebration.

The 52nd annual event will celebrate all aspects of the culture as it returns to the lakefront Aug. 22-24.

In addition to a special on-field program, the day will include memorabilia displays and limited-edition items available throughout the stadium.
